About the role

Our team is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer focused on Aircraft Stores Integration and weapons certification to help drive solutions and take initiative when problem-solving. This role is on site at our office in Lexington Park, MD. 

Assignments will vary, but will generally include the following responsibilities:

  • Provision of ordnance engineering and programmatic support to the F/A-18F and EA-18G.
  • Systems engineering – advising on requirements definition and documentation for aircraft related designs, oversight on the design process, and provide direction to third parties on design reviews. You will be responsible for the preparation of a Fundamental Performance Specification and Statement of Requirements.
  • Project engineering – providing advice on scheduling engineering tasks and contract risks/issues.
  • Configuration management – identifying CM requirements and deficiencies in new and existing systems.
  • Test and evaluation/verification – developing and executing a Test Plan, leading test reports and other data necessary to show compliance, including documentation of airworthiness issues identified.
  • You will be required to attend weapon-related conferences, meetings and symposiums which requires travel – domestically and internationally.
  • Experience with Civilian and/or military aircraft system acquisition and certification frameworks, such as the Australian DASRs.
  • Knowledge of FMS and Defense Security Assistance Programs.

The role is dynamic and involves collaboration across different physical locations and multiple time zones and supports client tasks and objectives.

Our ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Minimum 5 years’ broad professional experience in Aerospace Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ specialized expertise in Aerospace Project Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Acquisition or Sustainment.
