Celebrating the Women of PAC

March is Women’s History Month: a time to reflect on the contributions of women throughout history and in modern society. It’s officially recognized in the US, UK, and Australia, culminating in celebrations on International Women’s Day, which is held on March 8th.

What better opportunity could there be to celebrate the contributions of women in our own team?

Pacific Aerospace Consulting is here today -in very large part- because of the women who have been a part of our team throughout the years. PAC is a family company, founded in 2004 by husband-and-wife team Eric and Keren Rambow. Together, Keren and Eric built the company from the ground up-establishing the foundations for success, and the values that we adhere to today.

It’s easy to say that we value and honour the unique contribution of women in our workplace, but what does this actually look like in practice? For starters, PAC’s Executive Leadership Team is led equally by women. There is a whole team of women in Business Planning, Marketing & Communications, HR and Finance that provide the company’s framework for success. Additionally, some of PAC’s most technical and dynamic roles are held by women, in fields such as Systems Administration, Logistics, Project Management, and Engineering. Notably, of those skillsets in Australia, 3-out-of-4 women are also Veterans.

In a male-dominated industry, women not only contribute to the STEM environment in which we work, but they often bring a much needed human-element to the workplace—leading through empathy, compassion, inclusion. The women in PAC’s history have brought a critical balance to our engineering/technical workforce and enabled the company to continue growing and forming a positive and productive culture while maintaining exceptional technical expertise.

Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) is encouraged at the highest levels of our company. When we have highly diverse teams, we all contribute our unique experiences and perspectives to the “special PAC sauce”. D&I is more than a policy, it’s how you act. We demonstrate this every day by how we treat people, support them and their families and recruit new talent into our business.

With all of this in mind, today, we’re celebrating the women that have been a part of PAC’s past, present, and future. This March, we encourage you to reach out to your female colleagues and let them know how much they’re appreciated!
