My journey with PAC has been transformative. I started as a Business Support Officer, navigating administrative tasks and learning the business with diligence and commitment. As I immersed myself in the company culture, I found myself drawn to the strategic side; particularly, business development. Transitioning into the role of Capture Manager has allowed me to leverage my diverse skill sets acquired over years of varied experiences, from my time in the Australian Army to owning and operating a coffee company. This evolution has been both challenging and rewarding and pushed me to constantly grow and adapt.

Among my proudest achievements at PAC is the successful implementation of BD processes that have streamlined our approach and elevated our efficiency in pursuing opportunities. Contributing to the development of starting templates for the Capture Management Plan stands out as a tangible example of this. Additionally, working with the team to see numerous BD opportunities through to completion, including the ICPTA Panel Refresh Submission and ASO C2CS RFP, all of which, have been incredibly satisfying.

Over the past (almost) three years, I’m proud to have contributed to PAC’s growth and success through dedicated efforts in business development and strategic planning. By raising and managing BD opportunities, fostering collaboration across teams, and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, I know I’ve played a vital role in expanding PAC’s capabilities and enhancing its market presence – I can’t wait to see what the next 20 years has in store for PAC.

Simple – it’s the people I work with! I am motivated to come to work every day and be a part of the amazing team at PAC, which allows me the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. I’m driven by the prospect of contributing to the growth of our company, creating opportunities for our operational team, and ultimately enhancing defence capability. The dynamic environment, coupled with the support and camaraderie of my colleagues, fuels my enthusiasm and dedication.

One of the most memorable experiences that has had a lasting impact on me is the opportunity to be part of PAC’s first ever exhibition at Avalon 2023. It was a momentous occasion for our team as we stepped onto the international stage, showcasing our capabilities, and making our mark in the aerospace and defence industry. Being able to contribute to the planning and execution of this event was a source of immense pride for me. The collaborative effort, dedication, and innovative spirit displayed by our entire team truly exemplified what sets PAC apart – our people. It was a defining moment that underscored our commitment to excellence and our vision for the future and I look forward to assisting with many more of these types of events in the future.

These values align closely with my own beliefs, driving me to uphold high standards of professionalism and integrity in everything I do. PAC’s emphasis on collaboration and continuous learning fosters a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals can thrive and contribute their best.

The advice I would offer someone just starting their career at PAC –  I would advise them to embrace every opportunity for growth and learning. Be proactive, seek mentorship, and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Approach challenges with resilience and determination, and always strive for excellence in your work – do this and you’ll go far.           

I envision the future of PAC as one marked by continued growth, innovation, and impact as we expand our capabilities and market presence; not just domestically, but also, globally. As a member of the Business Development Team, I see myself playing a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and fostering key relationships with customers and stakeholders. My goal is to continue to contribute to PAC’s ongoing success through my BD efforts, enhancing our company’s reputation as a leader in the Aerospace Industry.

A major reason for this is because our workforce consists of 80% veterans, a workforce who genuinely care about and are committed to the best outcomes for the end user. Being featured in our 20-year anniversary campaign is a tremendous honour. It’s a testament to the collective efforts of our team and the milestones we’ve all achieved together. My message to my colleagues and the broader community is one of gratitude and optimism. Let’s celebrate our past accomplishments while looking ahead with confidence and determination. Together, we can continue to make a difference and shape the future of PAC for years to come “To Infinity and Beyond!”.
