Off the back of significant investment by PAC in expanding our support to the Australia Defence market and our success in growing into new aviation markets such as the maritime rotary wing sector, the President of PAC, Mr Eric Rambow, travelled from the US in February to attend the Avalon Airshow 2015. Accompanied by the newly appointed Australian Business Development Manager, Mr Tim Walmsley, PAC had the opportunity to convey our ever growing suite of specialist services to key industry leaders and Defence decision makers.
The Airshow was professionally assembled with a large turnout across military and commercial aerospace industry, as well as a strong Commonwealth presence by the DMO, CDG and the RAAF. It was an excellent opportunity to enhance the strong industry partnerships that PAC has developed as well as explore the exciting new opportunities that are coming down the project pipeline in Australia. With Australia gaining many advanced platforms in the near future, such as EA-18G Growler, F-35A Lightning II, P-8A Poseidon and the MQ-4C Triton, PAC has assembled highly capable teams to meet the unique demands of integrating these new systems into Australia’s Combat Force.
The week also coincided with the announcement of Plan Jericho by the Chief of Air Force, which adds an exciting new direction for Air Force on their transformation path to becoming a fifth generation enabled force. PAC attended the Aerospace Environmental Working Group where the three key themes of Plan Jericho were presented and it was established that PAC is ideally suited to support the RAAF in achieving a modern and fully integrated combat force. PAC’s core engineering and project support specialties align well with the intent of the plan and work has already begun to meet the demands of this bold initiative.
Overall, Avalon Airshow 2015 gave a clear representation of the exciting opportunities that the Australian Aerospace Industry will see in the next couple of years. It has reaffirmed our commitment to investment and growth in Australia so that we can continue to provide world class services to assist the Australian Defence Force in achieving the most effective future capability.
